In ‘Better Late Than Never’ News…

Sometimes we let things slip through the cracks over here at SuperTossers, totally by accident mind you, and we just realized we let something big slip! In the craziness that was organizing our first “Quickies” session with Heidi and handling all the questions that came in (a big thanks to everyone who participated!) we failed to acknowledge the release of Scott Alan’s CD “Keys” on November 11th.

But, wait, why would we announce that? ‘This is SuperTossers, not some random Scott Alan fan site,’ we hear you say.

Scott’s new CD, “Keys”, was introduced to the public at large on November 11th and features artists such as: Julia Murney, Titus Burgess, Kerry Ellis, Sutton Foster, Randy Graff, Norm Lewis, Lisa Brescia, Hadley Fraser, Natalie Weiss, Marcus Paul James, Kate Weatherhead, Megan Hilty, and [title of show]’s own Heidi Blickenstaff!

The CD, as a whole, is fantastic (as Scott’s albums tend to be), but we have to admit that Heidi’s track, “This Time”, is incredible and worth buying the entire album for!

Visit Scott’s website, www.scottalan.net, to hear clips of the entire album and then go out and purchase it! Or, purchase it online at here!

OUT100: The Men & Women Who Made 2008 A Year To Remember

Original Source: Out100

ACTORS & MUSICIAN

HUNTER BELL, JEFF BOWEN, & SIA

Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen (left and right, respectively) created the musical [title of show]—Bowen handled the music and lyrics and Bell wrote the book)—about four friends trying to create a musical that would make them Broadway stars. In real life, it earned three Obie awards as well as Drama League and GLAAD Media Award nominations during its off-Broadway run beginning in 2006. Then last July, Bell and Bowen, along with costars Susan Blackwell and Heidi Blickenstaff, realized their dream—and the show realized its destiny—when [title of show] opened to critical acclaim on Broadway.

We first caught wind of Sia Furler (center) with “Breathe Me”—her breakthrough song featured in the Six Feet Under series finale—but heard a whole lot more from the smoky-voiced singer in 2008. The Australian export, who came out as bisexual this year, signed with Starbucks’s record label Hear Music to release her soul-pop album Some People Have Real Problems, which reached number 26 on the Billboard album charts.
