[title of show] — the original new musical that began previews on July 5 and opened at the Lyceum Theatre (149 W. 45 St.) on July 17, concluded its critically acclaimed run at the Lyceum on Sunday October 12th.

The musical played 13 previews and 102 performances.

Written by Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell, and directed by Michael Berresse, [title of show] starred an exceptionally talented cast featuring Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff and Jeff Bowen. Courtney Balan and Benjamin Howes were stand-bys. Larry Pressgrove was the musical director.

[title of show] has been part of the fabric of life in New York since it started four years ago at the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2004, followed by its Off-Broadway premiere at the Vineyard Theatre in 2006. Last year, the [title of show] cast and creators began what has become an internet sensation, “The [title of show] Show,” in which they chronicled their path to Broadway. (www.titleofshow.com/toscasts.htm)

A thoroughly original new musical about four funny, talented and scrappy friends who decide to take charge of their own destiny and set out to make their dream of starring on Broadway come true, [title of show] has met critical praise:

The New York Times wrote, “[title of show] is hilarious…with its wit and energy, this fresh new musical is worth cheering.”

Rolling Stone called [title of show] “The biggest little show on Broadway…big in laughs, big in heart, big in talent, and big in songs that get inside your head and take you for a smart, sassy ride…[title of show] is a small miracle, and simply irresistible.” The Daily News called it “joyously entertaining,” and The New Yorker called the musical “A joy from start to finish — original, clever and surprisingly moving.” The Journal News proclaimed it “fresh, smart and funny.” And Time Out New York wrote, “[title of show] is a funny, big-hearted portrait of creativity, friendship and chasing your crazy dreams.”

[title of show] was produced on Broadway by Kevin McCollum, Jeffrey Seller, Roy Miller, Laura Camien, Kris Stewart, Lams Entertainment and The Vineyard Theatre.

An original cast recording of [title of show] is available on Ghostlight Records.

We’ll Miss the Stars in Your Eyes & Your Smiles

So. It’s officially October 13th, the past 24 hours have come and gone. They were rough for all parties involved, but the day has passed and we’re all still in one piece. That’s good, right?

There have been several questions as to the future of this site now that [title of show] has closed on Broadway. We honestly hadn’t even realized there WOULD be any questions about it. This site was created to spread the [tos] love and to give support to the incredible people involved with piece. Despite the fact that the Broadway run is over, there are still 4 (5 with Larry, 7 with Benjamin and Courtney, 8 with Michael) people that still deserve as much support as we can possibly give them for whatever projects, [title of show] or not, may come in the future.

So, in less words, SuperTossers is here to stay and we hope you will too!

Here’s to an incredible Broadway run, and whatever the future may hold.
